THE COLLECTIVE HAIR SALON

We aim to stimulate a relaxing and refreshing experience that will elevate clients and allow them to be immersed in a natural and pure habitat. The workstations will each have a uniquely designed aesthetic whilst creating one coherent theme throughout the salon to enhance the clients’ experience by making them feel valued. We strive to design a space that is idealistic and cradles futuristic characteristics to create a unique and inviting environment whilst seamlessly accommodating for unforeseen pandemics. Forests are one of the only parts of the world that still holds its natural beauty however through human interference and deforestation forests are being destroyed. As a result, an ecosystem imbalance has led to the exploitation of nature. With the new design of the hair salon we intend to emphasise the natural beauty of the elements in a forest including trees, rocks, plantation and water. As hair salons waste large amounts of water, we want to focus on creating a water-wise forest that harvests and reuses grey water to embody the concept of sustainable design to raise environmental awareness and remind society of the importance of saving forests for future generations.

PG BISON COMPETITION

The concept is to create an adidas pop up store for customers to view new designs and the latest styles.  The look and feel that is experienced inside the store is of a 4d futurecrafted adidas shoe. innovative elements include lighting, building structures and colours which allow consumers to experience the 4th dimension and contemporary space.  


Experience


Consumers can come into the store and create their personal and unique footwear with the latest vr technology. this allows consumers to interact with the brand while having a futuristic experience. The brand values will connect with the current generation because each customised designed shoe is created from wasted plastic in the ocean. this will intrigue the current generation because they value being part of a social cause.

PEACEFUL ZEN HOTEL DESIGN

The peacefulness of the facade that consumers sense when seeing the zen hotel invites and draw them in. Within the zen hotel, consumers experience feelings of relaxation and calmness through the use of tranquility and natural earthy elements. The use of creativity, sustainability, and the latest technology ensure that consumers view the zen hotel as a comfortable, home environment. the look and feel of the hotel express the concept of zen through the use of earthy designs. The earthy designs are represented through the use of wooden materials, natural stone, tranquil water, and trees of nature. The zen concept constitutes the contemporary modernised design.

AESTHETIC SKIN CARE CLINIC

The finger imprint curves create a sense of flow and uniqueness which represents each person to their own identity. The design is very clean, open with a function that follows form. The water which flows and sound which is placed at the reception immediately brings the feel of tranquility and calmness as entering the clinic. The feeling of relaxation has been implemented through the use of tranquility and natural earthy elements.
The Clinic is powered with solar power and rainwater harvesting to reduce the use of portable water, this has been incorporated into the final design.
